Jordan Washington, a junior at Long Beach Jordan High in California, won his 100-meter dash qualifying race in a wind-legal 10.53 seconds at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis. Washington also took third in his 200-meter prelim in a wind-legal 21.28. He also contributed to Long Beach Jordan securing sixth in a 4x100-meter relay qualifying race in 42.16.
