Jordan Washington, a sophomore at Long Beach Jordan, prevailed in his qualifying heats of the 100-meter dash and 200 meters with wind-aided performances of 10.31 and 21.14 seconds at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. Jordan also took third in its section of the 4x100-meter relay in 41.88 seconds.
